Status gives divers peace of mind by letting them know that their regulator is safe for a dive and when it needs servicing. Like the warning light on a car's dashboard, Status incorporates micro-electronics to review the condition of your SCUBA regulator prior to a dive. This important safety feature, the first in the industry, gives divers the assurance that their regulator is able to deliver life-sustaining air properly.
When the Status regulator is attached to the diver's air tank prior to a dive, the regulator's first stage is assessed by an internal micro-electronic computer. Status checks the range of the medium pressure that the first stage is sending to the second stage and an LCD displays whether the regulator is safe for diving.
The Status series features the proven technology that has made Apeks XTX regulators the benchmark in the industry. The first stage features the Status micro-computer and LCD display in both yoke and DIN connections. The second stage incorporates Apek's Reversible Venturi System (RVS), allowing the regulator to be converted from the standard right-handed hose configuration to a left-handed one. In addition, the regulator features the Diver Changeable Exhaust system (DCE). This gives the diver the ability to change from a small exhaust tee to a larger one, depending on preference for compact size or better bubble
